Please remind your student to complete and turn in their assignments.

Also, they can always improve skills by using IXL program.

Math: 

Monday:  Daily Review: Minute math lesson 29  (we will use dry erase pockets, then place answers on computer or notebook paper)

              ***** Some students will need to complete chapter 2 test ********

              Mixed number pennant activity.

               Chap. 3, pages 98-101, Algebraic expressions – Terminology

                Go over the examples and activities.  Use the “on your own” activities – fill out notes pages.  **Study tips**

 

                                             

Tuesday:     Daily review: Minute math lesson 30

                  Chap 3. lesson 3.1, pages 102-105

                  REVIEW TERMS!!!! (VARIABLE, COEFFIECENT, CONSTANT)

                  Go over examples and activities – pg 103-105 #8-22, 26-52, 56-60 even numbers               

               

Wednesday:     Daily review:  multiplication facts drill  5 and 6 mix                                              

                      Flocabulary video:  “Expressions”  (go over together) – complete activities on own.  (allow 30 min.)

                      Lesson 3.2 – Writing expressions pgs 106-108, practice writing expressions

                      Using “on your own” activities.  

                       

Thursday:   Daily review: Minute math lesson 31                       

                  Flocabulary: “Math Terms” video together – complete activities on own (allow 30 min of class time) 

                  Chp 3 lesson 3.2, pgs 108-111

                  complete the examples and then practice on pg 110. # 4-30, 36-40 even numbers

 

Friday:    Daily review: Math minute 32

              Chap. 3, lesson 3.3 – pgs 112-115, 

              Math properties for addition and multiplication:  commutative, and associative

              Handouts on properties.

              Give time to work on Flocab assignments, IXL, and pennants not complete yet.

                              

                    IXL – complete the recommended skills plans.  

    

Reading For Pleasure

Monday:  Read aloud to class – This is Our Story

              Fairy Tales?  Compare different versions of some basic fairy tales.

              Encourage the class to bring a copy of their favorite fairy tale to class.  

             

Tuesday:  Read aloud to class – This is Our Story- Discuss and summarize – If finished with This is Our Story, then begin a new story  (Cinder, Fairest, ...)

               Read together some fairy tales and their different versions.  

               ReadWriteThink – point of view discussion​

                                                     

Wednesday: Read aloud to class –  

                  Discuss some common fairy tales, work with a group and rewrite their take on the fairy and dramatize it.

 

Thursday: Read aloud to class –                    

               fairy tale stories

             

Friday:  Read aloud to class – 

            watch a favorite fairy tale
